The Cercle FSER

Noting that basic research is often not recognised enough, a group of scientists, all recipients of prestigious awards, including the FSER grant, decided to formalise their engagement to promote a meaningful dialogue between science and society. Those laureates founded in 2014 le Cercle FSER, which is today a non-profit organisation (French association under the 1901 law).

Beyond the personal commitment of its members in public engagement activities (in the media, in science festivals, etc), le Cercle FSER has a systemic action, contributing to a change of culture in all fields of research to promote a meaninful dialogue with and for society. Thousands of scientists from all disciplines participate each year in activities facilitated by the Cercle FSER.
